Watch an IME move through a typical provider and the pattern is hard to miss. The clinical work takes about as long as it should. What surrounds it is where the time goes — retyping referrals, phone tag for scheduling, separate threads for transport and interpretation, and status calls from referrers.
None of that is anyone's fault. It's what happens when five parties who each need different information have no shared place to work. So we built the shared place: one case record that the referrer, coordinator, examiner, claimant, and service provider all act on from their own view.
