Terms & conditions
These terms govern your use of the Assessco platform. Section 8 is the one most worth reading closely — it sets out the line between what our software does and what you, as a professional, remain responsible for.
1. This agreement
These Terms & Conditions form a binding agreement between you and Assessco Technologies Inc. ("Assessco", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the platform — including public referral forms, scheduling links, or tracking links — you agree to these terms.
If you accept on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it. A separate signed agreement prevails over these terms where they conflict.
2. Definitions
- Platform — the Assessco software, websites, portals, and APIs.
- Customer — the organisation or individual professional that subscribes.
- Workspace — a Customer's isolated environment within the Platform.
- Customer Data — content submitted to or generated in a Workspace, including referrals, cases, documents, and reports.
3. Accounts and eligibility
The Platform is for business and professional use. You must be at least 18 and provide accurate registration information. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Access is scoped by role. You must not attempt to access a workspace, case, or document you have not been granted access to.
4. Subscriptions, trials, and payment
Trials
We may offer a 14-day free trial. At the end of a trial you must subscribe to continue; otherwise your workspace becomes read-only so you can export data.
Our commercial model
Assessco charges a subscription for software. We do not take a commission or percentage of any assessment fee, and we are not a party to the relationship between an examiner and a referrer.
5. Customer Data and ownership
You retain ownership of Customer Data. You grant Assessco a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the service. We do not use Customer Data to train models or sell it to third parties.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit, for obtaining any consents required to place personal or health information into the Platform, and for how you use reports and opinions produced through the Platform.
8. Professional responsibility — please read
Assessco is practice management software. Examiners and IME companies remain solely responsible for the clinical and medico-legal content of their reports, compliance with professional standards, and the accuracy of information delivered to referrers.
The Platform does not provide medical, legal, or insurance advice. Nothing in the Platform replaces your professional judgment or your obligations to claimants and referrers.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Assessco's total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, unless your order form specifies otherwise.
